Both of these SUVs are offered in a variety of trim levels and come with standard base features like Bluetooth, a 6-speaker audio system, and USB connectivity. It effortlessly shifts and comes equipped with. Power and heated seats are also standard, as is a power sunroof.įuel economy for the front-drive Trax is rated at 9.1/7.6 L/100 km (city/highway) with the automatic transmission, and 9.4/6.9 with the stickshift. To help you smooth your ride even further, the 6-speed automatic transmission works right alongside the engine. Premier trim adds leatherette seats, illuminated vanity mirrors and a premium stereo. LT trim adds cruise control, roof rack rails, satellite radio, remote engine start, heated mirrors, under seat storage drawer, 110-volt power outlet and LED running lamps. There is also a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen plus keyless entry, power windows and air conditioning. Standard tech includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while blind spot, rear cross traffic and forward collision alerts and lane departure warning are all available. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard in most models, but the LS FWD gets a six-speed manual. The Trax can't match the sharp handling of the Mazda CX-3 nor the off-road ability of a car like the Jeep Renegade, but it does boast a smooth highway drive and good fuel economy from a 1.4L turbocharged engine that makes 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. With Chevrolet expected to redesign the Trax for the 2020 model year, this subcompact crossover carries over into 2019 with very minor changes: some fresh paint colours and a new tailgate badge for the range-topping Premier trim. ![]()
